Sanitary Waste Systems GroupInnovative medical waste disposal business sold to private equity group

Sanitary Waste Group's manufacturing facilities are in Melbourne and Brisbane with distributors in all mainland states and New Zealand. Sani Waste imports and manufactures disposable, fully bio-degradeable systems for  disposing of human waste from hospitals and aged care facilities, generating major savings in water, power, and labour and cutting the risks of cross infection.

The sale of the business was conducted by Managing Director Garry Stephensen using the Lloyds Tender Process in conjunction with Lloyds Target Marketing to produce some spirited offers that resulted in a highly successful trade sale.

Sani Waste's key products and services include:

  • Macerators

  • Human waste collection

  • Tray bowls and racks

  • Personal protection equipment: wipes, aprons, gloves

  • Air purifiers

  • Installation and education

  • Environmental analysis

  • Infection control

  • Cost reduction through more efficient systems.

Macerators reduce waste solids to smaller pieces to more effectively process and treat the waste. Macerating toilets use a mechanism that blends/grinds waste into a slurry, which can be pumped away easily. It's especially necessary when water pressure is low or if a sewer drain pipe is installed near a toilet, requiring pumping against gravity.
